Update from ever/after’s partners in Uganda

We are so excited to update you on ever/after’s partners at Loving Hearts Baby Home in Uganda.  Things have been very busy in LHBH’s opening stages!  In January of 2010, they were recognized by the Ugandan Government as an official Baby’s Home.  It’s amazing to think it’s almost a full year since they opened and came to the rescue of these precious little babies.

Now, Loving Hearts currently has 14 babies- 11 of which are in prospective adoption positions, and all of which are healthy happy and loved!  It was important to us at ever/after that each charity we partner with strive to become more self-sustainable and less dependent on outside funds.  Loving Hearts is doing just that as they are now in the process of initiating several income generating projects to help sustain and grow the home.  Already, they have the guest rooms where volunteers and other guests are hosted!  Several people have already supported them by using these guest rooms during their stay and it has been of really great help financially to the home.

Wow, God is so good.  I’m warmed to know these babies are receiving love and care while they await their adoptive families.  If you’d like to go snuggle the babies yourself, lend a hand with house maintenance & construction, or use your medical talents and knowledge to help please apply to volunteer at info@lovingheartsbabies.com.
